Atsushi Yoneda, president and CEO of Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. Inc., Valhalla, N.Y., USA, announced changes to Fujifilm USA's senior management structure and the realignment of its Photo Imaging management team. All changes were effective Sept. 1.
"Our markets are experiencing remarkable change at unprecedented speed, presenting us with both tremendous challenges and new opportunities. We are therefore taking proactive steps to realign our resources and focus our sales efforts on the key business segments we serve," said Yoneda, who is also a member of the board of directors and a senior vice president of Fuji Photo Film Co. Ltd., Tokyo, Japan. "At the same time, we will be strengthening our administrative and operational support to better serve the needs of our sales organization and, ultimately the needs of our customers."
Stan Freimuth, executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been promoted to the new position of senior executive vice president and chief administrative officer. His responsibilities include all aspects of corporate operations, including Supply Chain, Logistics, Risk Management and IT, as well as Corporate Communications, Community Relations and Corporate Responsibility, and Environmental and Safety Affairs.
Hank Hayashi has been appointed group president, Imaging Group, formerly known as the Photo Imaging Division. Hayashi, who is a senior executive vice president of Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. Inc. and a corporate vice president of Fuji Photo Film Co. Ltd., also remains chairman and CEO of Fujicolor Processing Inc.
Hiro Sakai, formerly senior assistant to the president of Fujifilm USA, has been named president, Fujicolor Processing.
Paul D'Andrea, senior vice president and general manager of the former Photo Imaging Division, resigned, effective Sept. 3.
The Fuji Imaging Group, formerly the Photo Imaging Division, will consist of four divisions: Photo Capture, Photofinishing and Web Services, Technical Services and Support, and Digital Devices. Herb Baer has been named vice president, general manager, Photo Capture Division, responsible for consumer and professional film, one-time-use cameras, conventional cameras, inkjet paper and consumer printers.
Gael Lundeen has been named vice president, general manager, Photofinishing and Web Services Division, incorporating all lab equipment, color paper, software, digital services and integrated solutions to serve both the professional and retail photofinishing environments.
Ron Santos has been appointed vice president, general manager of Technical Services and Support Division, responsible for customer and consumer services.
Due to the critical nature of this business, at this time, Hank Hayashi will maintain direct oversight of the Digital Devices Division, which encompasses all consumer and professional digital cameras and related accessories.
