Jennifer Wu: I shot this image in Glacier National Park at Swiftcurrent Lake with my friend Jim Martin. We walked around the lake looking for a good spot and returned in the next day for sunrise. Clouds to the east rose above the horizon, blocking the sun. There seemed to be no prospect for magic light so I busied myself visualizing some compositions, thinking I would like to return someday when light hit the mountain. Then, a momentary break in the clouds let the sunrise light through for a few seconds. Luckily, I was already set up with a composition. I took three quick shots before the light vanished for good.
