Today Kodak announced an upcoming change to their Wide Format Inkjet Media business model. Beginning in 2012, Kodak will no longer be involved in the marketing, sale and distribution of wide-format inkjet media for aqueous printers. In recognition of Kodak's strong brand value and its strong core of customers in the Wide-format segment, effective January 1, 2012, Kodak will be licensing their brand to a third-party on a global basis.
The new licensee is a company named Brand Management Group (BMG). Brand Management Group is an affiliate company to LexJet, a wide-format inkjet distribution business. BMG will license the Kodak brand for wide- format inkjet media for sale in all regions. It is BMG’s intention that the Kodak Wide-Format Inkjet Media business be run as usual from transfer on January 1, 2012 and they will be stocking product accordingly.
The following listings are affected by this change and will be removed from the KODAK Professional Stockhouse Equipment and Supplies Price Catalog.
