Apple has announced that the new Mac OSX 10.7 Lion will no longer support software that relies on Rosetta. As you may already be aware, this directly affects X-Rite's retired i1Match, ProfileMaker and MonacoPROFILER applications. While we recognize there may be some workarounds for our customers, this is not ideal for most users. Therefore, X-Rite is providing our customers with upgrade paths so they can continue using X-Rite imaging solutions if they choose to upgrade to Lion.
Please also be aware that the current shipping solutions that contain i1Profiler, ColorMunki or huey software are not affected and are fully compatible with Apple OS systems from 10.5.8, 10.6 and the new 10.7 Lion.
To specifically address owners of i1Display LT or i1Display 2, X-Rite is developing an "i1Profiler MAC only monitor module". This module will recognize i1Display 2 and LT devices and is scheduled for release in September 2011. Any customer who purchases and registers their i1Display LT or i1Display 2 solution from January 1, 2011 will be eligible for a free update. All purchases prior to 2011 will be charged a nominal fee. X-Rite customer technical support applies if solution is still within its original warranty period. Final details will be provided prior to software release.
All other upgrade paths are currently available.
