Sony is expanding their mirrorless E-mount Alpha system, and getting serious about video recording. The Sony a6300 provides 4K video capabilities and still-image shooting at 11 frames per second, while boasting the brand's most autofocus points. With an incredible 425 focal plane phase-detection AF points densely positioned over the entire image area, this comprehensive AF point coverage ensures that no subject escapes its attention.

How does the new Sony a6300 compare to the previous model? The body is compact and houses an APS-C 24MP sensor like its predecessor, the a6000. Its resistance to water and dust has been improved from the previous model - with protective magnesium alloy surrounding the body, rather than only the front element. The updated BIONZ X image processor minimizes noise and enhances the range of ISO to 51,200. The a6000 only expanded to 21,500 ISO.

The Sony a6300 supports Full HD 120fps shooting, and 4K recording in Super 35mm format with full pixel readout, no pixel binning and 2.4x oversampling for the ultimate movie quality. By collecting 20 megapixels (6K equivalent) of information, which is approximately 2.4x as many pixels as 4K, the a6300 provides high quality footage with exceptional depth and detail.

Additional professional video features include; S-Gamut3/S-Log3 and Gamma Display Assist, the ability to record Full HD at 120 fps for 4x or 5x slow motion HD video, both a mic jack and XLR compatibility via the MI shoe, enhanced Zebra functionality, picture profile settings, as well as Time Code / User Bit, clean HDMI output and much more.

Like Sony's full frame models, the a6300 can be made compatible with your Canon and Nikon lenses via the Metabones adaptor mounts. Metabones smart adapters retain electronic data and allow access to the lens' AF capabilities when applicable.

This camera is the perfect marriage of mid-level price, with the body selling for under $1,000 at its release, and professional 4K quality and speed. Learn more about this product and its kit options at shoppictureline.com!
