Hasselblad is one of the top medium-format camera manufacturers. They design and build beautiful and streamlined camera systems that have been beloved by their loyal customers since World War II.
Before we tell you about the new lenses that Hasselblad is bringing to market this year, lets quickly give you an overview of the X1D, in case you are unfamiliar with it. The X1D is the world's first ever mirrorless medium-format digital camera! Hasselblad shocked the world with their announcement of this incredible camera and here's why:

- 2.36 million dot LCD electronic viewfinder
- ISO 100-25,600
- Wi-Fi and GPS - a very convenient feature, not yet seen in many cameras

Now let's talk lenses! Hasselblad has officially announced four new lenses for the X1D: 3 primes and 1 zoom. The new lenses will be a 22mm wide-angle, a 65mm moderate-wide, a 120mm macro and the system’s first zoom – a 35-75mm. However, it could be up to several months before all four lenses actually hit retail stores. The first lens to become available will be the 120mm macro lens, and will be available at the end of June. The other three lenses can be expected "by the beginning of 2018", according to Hasselblad.
The new 120mm macro lens will be very versatile for both close-up work, up to a 1:2 image scale, and as a mid-range telephoto lens for portrait or other photography requiring a longer focal length. The aperture can be adjusted for any type of work with a range from f/3.5 all the way to f/35. You’ll also notice an integral central shutter that allows flash synchronization up to 1/2000th of a second!
All details and specs of this lens have yet to be released, but we are pretty excited about the information we have gotten so far. Be sure to keep checking back to our website for more information on pre-order and release dates as we get closer to June.
