The firmware update for the Canon Vixia HF G40 will be available May 23rd, 2016. It allows for 720p/60p shooting at a rate of 8Mbps in MP4 format, which is can be ideal for shooting and analyzing sports, especially in coaching.
Canon XC10 4K Pro Camcorder Update
The Canon XC10 firmware update will be available June 30th, 2016. This allows for improved auto focus speed, selectable shutter speeds of 1/25 and 1/50 and the following MP4 recording modes have been added:
