The Atomos Ninja Star Pocket-size Apple ProRes Recorder & Deck is a small, compact and lightweight Apple ProRes recorder. At 3 inches and 130g it is small enough to fit in your pocket, strap to your tripod and light enough to hang from a quadcopter or mount to your DSLR. The Ninja Star upgrades your consumer MPEG video camera to a truly pro recording device. Record seamlessly from expensive cameras, action cams and secondary production cameras to edit ready Apple ProRes files. The Ninja Star is an efficient little beast, meaning it can keep on going for over 5 hours on one battery. Record for the whole shoot and play back all on the included battery.
The Ninja Star can record onto CFast 1.0 and CFast 2.0 media, giving you the choice of affordable media. For ProRes recording, the write speeds of CFast 1.0 is sufficient giving you a truly affordable media solution. Featuring a code and start/stop trigger support, an audio line-in, and an HDMI loop-through output for sending the signl to an external monitor. A battery and battery charger are also included. With flexible mounting options, a mounting cheese plate is included which provides 1/4"-20 threaded holes along the bottom and sides.
With the Atomos Ninja Star, you can record up to 1080p video in edit-ready 10-bit 4:2:2 Apple ProRes HQ, 422, or LT from your camera's uncompressed HDMI output, bypassing a round of internal compression and data loss.
