Cityscape Photography in Salt Lake City – March 12th

March
12th
2022
4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. (MST)
Regent Street Parking Garage

Recap

We had a blast at our cityscape photowalk as attendees were able to capture Salt Lake from both the streets and from on top of Regent Street Parking Garage. Since we were given special permission to access the top, attendees were able to get rare vantage points of the surrounding buildings. It was a treat to be able to test out various Leica cameras, which left many of us in awe.

Description

Since roughly 80% of people in the United States live in metropolitan areas, it's safe to say that cityscape photography is one of the most accessible genres of photography. Downtown Salt Lake City is a hub for businesses, entertainment and dining. Not to mention it has plenty of sky-high buildings that showcase beautiful architecture.

Join pictureline on an adventure to capture the grandeur of downtown Salt Lake City. This photowalk will cover the importance of cityscape photography, and how to communicate a city's overall ambiance. We’ll focus specifically on capturing lines, shapes, and unique angles, and exploring details as much as the whole. We’ll also demonstrate the importance of lighting, and how to incorporate the city lights into your shots.

Our Leica rep, Mike Meza along with Ray Olsen will be in attendance and will have a few Leica SL2-S cameras available to try out. All cameras are welcome! Just don’t forget to share your photo walk images with us on social media with #picturelinephotowalk so we can see each other’s work.

Where:  55 E 200 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84111
