Celebrating Wildlife and Taking Photographs with Impact (8:30-10:30am)

Photography is a tool to unlock the secret lives of creatures great and small from under the water's surface to the vast expanse of space overhead. From insects to sharks to the milky way, there are mysteries everywhere, with photography opportunities galore. In this lecture Kristi will go through techniques, from simple to advanced that will help you become a stronger photographer all while connecting deeper with nature. From basic settings to optimizing your cameras for wildlife photography, she will go through suggestions to help you create more stunning images of wildlife.

Join us for a night celebrating wildlife, art and our planet’s biodiversity!

Emotional Beings: Getting to the Heart of your Subjects (1-2:30pm)

Kristi’s years of photographing people and wildlife has taught her a unique way of seeing emotion and has forever changed how she approaches photography. How do you take an emotion and make it two dimensional? How do you get people to care and love a photograph?

There are three main emotions in almost every photo, the subject, the viewer and the photographer. Kristi will dive into how she uses connection, color and composition to bring a bigger depth of emotion into her images and ultimately create more impact.
