Profoto A1X Off Camera Flash Kit for Fuji

The successor to the industry-changing A1, the Profoto A1x Off Camera Flash Kit for Fuji is an answer to industry feedback. After several years of success with the A1, Profoto introduced this improved version, and expanded the number of compatible brands. The A1x AirTTL-F Flash for Fuji is the culmination of this re-introduction. Equally at home either on or off camera, the Profoto A1x delivers studio-quality lighting, with fast recycle times and incredible flexibility, allowing for full realization of creative vision while shooting photos. This kit is designed to move the flash off-camera, and includes the Profoto Connect Wireless Transmitter for Fujifilm cameras.

The A1x is perfect for photographers of every skill level because of its combination of performance and ease of use. With plenty of power, fast recycle times, and great battery life, it’s a working pro's dream for a portable flash. A simple, intuitive manual power adjustment allows for manual control in 1/10 stop increments, while TTL compatibility provides communication with the camera to set the flash automatically. Switching between TTL and Manual modes is also extremely fast and easy, and exposure settings can be locked in immediately after the light is set.

Round Flash Head

The A1x doesn’t look like a “typical” on-camera flash, but rather mimics the shape of light traditionally found in studio strobes by using a round flash head. This 2.75-inch-round tilting and rotating head is what allows the A1x to have such a natural and pleasing looking light. It also incorporates an auto-zoom feature that covers focal lengths from 32mm to 105mm, and has accessory wide angle attachments that will allow coverage on lenses as wide as 14mm. A wide range of modifiers, filters, and color correction gels allow for further enhancement of the light in many different ways.

Fast and Powerful

Thanks to a high-powered lithium-ion battery, the A1x can output 76Ws of light, significantly brighter than competitive hot-shoe mounted flashes. It has support for High-Speed Sync up to 1/8000 sec. with compatible TTL cameras, and flash durations from 1/800 second to 1/20,000 second, meaning that stopping action is not a problem. The A1x recycles in one second, and has the ability to get up to 450 full-power flashes on a single charge, so shooting won’t have to stop or slow down in even the most extreme scenarios.

Outstanding Remote Shooting Options

The A1x is just as capable off-camera as it is on. It is fully compatible with the Profoto Air and Air-TTL transmitting systems, allowing it to be triggered by either remote system at distances up to 1000 feet. The A1x also incorporates a transmitter for triggering additional lights that are compatible with Profoto’s Air Remote ecosystem, making the A1x perfectly suited to working within a larger setup either as an additional light, a transmitter, or both.

Profoto Connect Wireless Transmitter for Fujifilm Cameras

This kit includes the Profoto Connect Wireless Transmitter for Fujifilm cameras. This is the transmitter that takes the complexity and stress out of remote flash shooting. A very low profile, the Profoto Connect almost blends in with the camera and won’t add a lot of weight. It has a TTL mode, allowing the camera to communicate and set the flash output automatically, or a manual mode. In the manual mode, the flash will either remember the last power setting used, or the light can be connected wirelessly for remote control by using the Profoto app from a compatible smart device.
